From the windows of your rooms you can enjoy the panorama of fragments of artistic masterpieces from ancient Etruscan, Roman, and early medieval civilisations, where the 11th-century basilica of San Pietro (Temple of the Sun Worship) blossoms.
The hill presents an exceptional circumstance: it is macroscopically marked by the Etruscan presence.
Necropolises stretch around it in all directions, completely surrounding it.
Even the current historic centre was occupied by necropolises, since tombs have been found near the church of S. Agostino, the convent of S. Francesco, in Via Poggio Barone, at Tor della Vela, Pozzo Bianco and Pietrella.
